Compendium of video production pipelines using AI (ongoing)

For years, UX/UI design has focused heavily on aesthetics. Creating beautiful, user-friendly interfaces has been the cornerstone of the field. But with the rise of voice assistants, wearables, and the Internet of Things (IoT), the landscape is shifting. The future of UX/UI design is not just about what we see, but about how we interact with technology in a multitude of ways.

This isn't to say visuals are becoming irrelevant. A well-designed interface will always be important. However, the focus is expanding. Understanding user needs, behavior patterns, and emotional responses across various touchpoints becomes paramount.

Can a user navigate a smartwatch app with ease? Does a voice interface anticipate their needs and respond intuitively? These are the questions that will define successful UX/UI in the coming years.

This approach allows us to maintain a lean operational model, significantly reducing our environmental footprint.

Electric Youth, founded by creative Marcelo Garcia in Los Angeles, is a versatile studio dedicated to a design-first ethos that guides every phase of its work, from initial concept to completion.

Operating predominantly remotely, we assemble bespoke teams for each project, drawing from our extensive network of designers, illustrators, animators, VFX supervisors, writers, editors, and software engineers.

This approach allows us to maintain a lean operational model, significantly reducing our environmental footprint. We further commit to sustainability and global community support by offsetting our energy use and donating a portion of our profits to trusted charity optimizers.

Brand & motion

Collaborating with brands and the house teams, we bring visions to life through tangible assets and design systems. From social to out-of-home campaigns, in-product iconography to immersive virtual presence, our approach is customized to align with each brand's distinct vision across all mediums.

Commercial production

Our process always begins with creative concepting, weaving design thinking throughout motion, visual effects, beauty, color grading, and editing. This ensures every aspect, including motion graphics and VFX, is an essential part of the unified brand narrative.

The good news is, this shift presents exciting opportunities. UX/UI designers can now delve deeper into user research, explore new interaction models, and craft experiences that seamlessly integrate into users' lives. The future of UX/UI is a symphony of user-centered design, encompassing voice, touch, and potentially even brain-computer interfaces. It's a chance to redefine how we interact with the world around us, and that's a future worth designing for.
